CHALLENGE:

How does a large energy company reach its audience at the consumer level, in an engaging and personal experience? For Chevron, the challenge is met in the creation of Carsville—a place where consumers can visit and interact with the Chevron brand. Carsville is an online immersive space, where adults and kids alike can explore the world of Chevron's cars. For PacDigital, the opportunity to build out the gallery of build-it-yourself car parts is a study in image management.

SOLUTION:

Creating a gallery of cars, with all the variables you can imagine between mini-vans, trucks, compacts and sedans, is no easy task. Our organization of cars by size, and again by fixed variations, gave us the grid of possible combinations to match. Rendered, dimensional shapes, all based on the same core model sizes, allowed for the maximum amount of change in the smallest amount of space. Eyes, bumpers, hoods, tails, all were created as unique shapes on a consistent frame.

RESULT:

The Carsville site is a sticky site, made even stickier by the build-your-own-car interactivity. Users create, share, and print their own unique cars, and Chevron creates awareness of their initiatives.
