CHALLENGE:
Ubisoft makes gaming history with the release of Rocksmith, the only video game that uses a real guitar to help you become the Rock God you always knew you were. Cutwater's challenge—how to brand the software in a market where authenticity is key?
SOLUTION:
Using the iconic metal type found on most amp cases, PacDigital created a three dimensional logotype model that exuded amplified licks. The lockup was designed for scale, and is the hero image used to represent the game in all media, packaging, and advertising. By creating a rendered full color logo, the hot silver metallic look leaps off the page, and makes you want to pick up the ax and turn up the volume.
RESULT:
Rocksmith's launch has changed gaming, and has created a legion of would-be music legends.
